We are seeking a Staff Accountant to join our client’s growing accounting team. This is a great opportunity for an accounting professional looking to build on their experience, take on additional responsibilities, and grow within an organization!
Responsibilities:
- Perform day-to-day accounting activities, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and general ledger maintenance
- Assist with month-end and year-end close processes
- Prepare and review financial reports and account analyses
- Reconcile bank, balance sheet, and general ledger accounts
- Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable as needed
- Research and resolve accounting discrepancies
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting activities
- Assist with audits and other accounting projects as needed
- Maintain accurate and organized financial records
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure accurate and timely accounting processes
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field REQUIRED
- 1+ year of professional accounting experience REQUIRED
- No more than 5 years of professional accounting experience
- Must have hands-on accounting experience — this is not an entry-level opportunity
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and general ledger processes
- Experience with account reconciliations and month-end close
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently while also collaborating with a team
- Title: Staff Accountant
- Experience: 1–5 years
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
