Senior Manager, Financial Reporting

About the role:
As the Senior Manager, Financial Reporting you will oversee external financial reporting activities, ensuring compliance with SEC regulations, U.S. GAAP, and company policies. You will lead the preparation and filing of Forms 10-Q, 10-K, earnings releases, and other SEC filings. You will work with Technical Accounting to incorporate accounting conclusions into SEC filings and disclosures. You will also work with Corporate Accounting, FP&A, Legal, Investor Relations, Tax, and external auditors to ensure timely, accurate, and transparent financial reporting.
You will report to the Assistant Corporate Controller, Technical Accounting & External Reporting and work at our Cranberry Township, PA headquarters location. Hybrid Work Schedule.
Key Responsibilities:
- SEC Reporting & External Financial Reporting
- Lead the preparation and filing of Forms 10-Q, 10-K, 8-K, and other SEC filings, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and compliance with SEC regulations and U.S. GAAP.
- Manage the preparation of financial statements, footnote disclosures, and supporting schedules.
- Review MD&A disclosures, earnings release materials, and other external reporting content, ensuring consistency, transparency, and agreement on company performance and strategic goals.
- Use Workiva to manage the preparation, review, and filing of SEC reports and related disclosures.
- Coordinate the quarterly and annual reporting process across Accounting, FP&A, Legal, Tax, Treasury, and Investor Relations.
- Ensure compliance with current SEC disclosure requirements, including XBRL reporting.
- Monitor latest SEC regulations and disclosure requirements and assess their impact on the company.
- Technical Accounting
- Partner with Technical Accounting to address SEC comment letters, including coordinating the response and making any disclosure changes.
- Research, and document complex disclosure issues under U.S. GAAP and SEC guidance.
- Review transaction disclosures.
- Prepare technical accounting memoranda supporting our accounting positions and conclusions where applicable.
- Stay current on new accounting pronouncements and contribute or lead implementation efforts for applicable standards.
- External Audit & Internal Controls
- Be the primary liaison with external auditors for quarterly reviews and annual audits.
- Coordinate audit requests and ensure resolution of accounting and reporting matters.
- Support SOX compliance projects and maintain a internal control environment over financial reporting.
- Collaborate with internal audit and control owners to improve control deficiencies and strengthen processes.
- Leadership & Process Improvement
- Lead financial reporting team members.
- Lead projects to enhance financial reporting efficiency, accuracy, and quality.
- Support implementation and optimization of reporting systems, disclosure management tools, and financial close processes.
- Assist executive leadership with Board, Audit Committee, and investor-related reporting materials.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience. Accounting or Finance degree preferred.
- CPA certification
- 8+ years of progressive accounting and financial reporting experience, including experience with an SEC registrant/public company.
- Experience preparing SEC filings, including Forms 10-Q, 10-K, and 8-K.
- Experience drafting Management's Discussion & Analysis (MD&A) disclosures, including coordination with Finance, Legal, and executive leadership.
- Technical accounting expertise with a knowledge of U.S. GAAP, SEC reporting requirements, and financial statement disclosure rules.
- Understanding of Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) requirements and internal controls over financial reporting.
We are committed to transparency and equity in all of our people practices. The base salary range for this position, which is dependent upon experience, qualifications and skills, is estimated to be $126,000 to $157,500 per year.
