Location: Bensalem
Accounting Analyst
Our client, a growing manufacturing organization in the Philadelphia suburbs, is seeking an experienced Accounting Analyst to join its team.
What You'll DoCore Accounting & Financial Reporting
- Prepare and post journal entries across multiple areas of the business.
- Perform account reconciliations, account analysis, and general ledger maintenance.
- Assist with the monthly close process and preparation of income statements, balance sheets, and other financial reports.
- Support monthly consolidation activities and analyze financial results across the organization.
- Reconcile intercompany balances and transactions.
- Maintain supporting schedules and other documentation used for financial reporting.
Analysis & Business Improvement
- Analyze financial and operational data to identify trends, inefficiencies, cost-saving opportunities, and potential revenue enhancements.
- Prepare sales and management reporting to support leadership decision-making.
- Investigate variances and unusual account activity and communicate findings to the finance team.
- Work with departments throughout the organization to improve processes and strengthen financial visibility.
- Assist with integrating and reconciling financial data from other systems.
Audit, Controls & Special Projects
- Support the annual audit process by preparing schedules, reconciliations, and requested documentation.
- Assist in maintaining and strengthening internal controls, accounting policies, and procedures.
- Participate in special projects and provide analytical support to senior finance leadership.
- Assist with activities such as annual insurance renewals and other corporate finance initiatives.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
- 3+ years of relevant accounting experience.
- Manufacturing industry experience is strongly preferred.
- Strong understanding of general ledger accounting, consolidations, journal entries, reconciliations, and financial statements.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and comfort working with large sets of financial data.
- SAP experience is preferred.
