Controller
As the Controller, you'll lead the accounting organization for a well-established, multi-location organization while serving as a strategic partner to executive leadership. You'll oversee financial reporting, accounting operations, and process improvement initiatives that support continued growth, ensuring financial integrity while building scalable systems and developing high-performing teams.
- Lead the accounting organization, including financial reporting, accounting operations, Accounts Payable, and Accounts Receivable across multiple locations
- Coach, mentor, and develop accounting team members while fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement
- Partner with executive leadership on strategic financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and operational decision-making
- Oversee monthly and year-end close processes, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting in accordance with GAAP
- Serve as the primary liaison with external auditors and ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards and regulations
- Improve working capital performance through effective oversight of Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable functions
- Identify and implement process improvements, automation initiatives, and financial system enhancements to increase efficiency and scalability
- Develop KPIs, dashboards, and financial performance metrics that provide actionable insights to leadership
- Support mergers, acquisitions, integrations, and other strategic growth initiatives
- Build strong partnerships with operational leaders to strengthen financial performance and accountability across the organization
- Promote a professional, collaborative, and safety-focused workplace culture
Qualifications
- 12+ years of experience in accounting
- Managerial experience required
- Some type of strategic planning experience required
- Fluency in Microsoft Office suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.)
- GAAP knowledge, CPA preferred
- Strong written, verbal and collaboration skills
- Desire to work in a high-growth environment
- Any M&A experience is a plus
