We are expanding our operations and have an immediate opportunity for an Landscape Accounting Team Lead for our operations in Colmar, Pennsylvania.
What is the opportunity?
The Accounting Team Lead position is responsible for assisting in the coordination and preparation of month-end/quarter end close cycles, review of annual reports, reviewing accounts payable batches for proper coding and approvals, reconciling balance sheet accounts and preparing and posting journal entries. This position will also assist with ad hoc projects, budget analysis and interact with all levels of personnel, as needed.
Independent work is required, as well as a proficient understanding of deadlines and responsibilities.
What are the primary responsibilities?
- Assist with month-end/quarter-end close including B/S and P/L account analysis and reconciliations.
Assist with review of quarterly and annual reports - Create and post journal entries
- Review weekly accounts payable batches
- Provide explanations of budget to actual variances
- Assist with external auditor requests
- Assist in the review of budget variance analysis
- Manage additional team members as/if needed
- All other duties as assigned

QualificationsDoes this describe you?
- Possess a thorough knowledge of basic accounting procedures and principles
- Possess a solid understanding of general ledger
- Have experience working with financial statements and supporting analysis
- Have experience with account reconciliations and variance analysis
- Able to multi-task and handle multiple priorities to meet established deadlines
- Able to work independently
Do you have these qualifications?
- Essential:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting
- 3+ years of related experience
- High proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Work in office 5 days per week.
- Preferred:
- Homebuilding or construction accounting experience
- Previous experience working in JD Edwards, Enterprise 1, Sage Intacct
- Working knowledge of US GAAP
