Tax Director - Private Client Services

Job Overview

Tax Director – Private Client Services (PCS) Practice with major accounting and advisory firm. Will serve clients across multiple office locations and drive tax compliance and advisory services.

• Review tax projections, tax work papers and tax returns, including Federal and State Individual and Fiduciary tax returns.
• Oversee and manage the tax return process including the identification and resolution of tax issues.
• Apply corporation and partnership accounting and tax concepts.
• Mentor, train and manage staff accountants to meet deadlines and prioritize workload.
• Manage multiple tax engagements in a team environment while working independently.
• Identify potential opportunities for new and/or expanded client services.
• Lead and manage engagements, including budgeting, billing and engagement economics.
• Maintain a highly proactive approach to serving clients.

• Basic:
  Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or equivalent field; public accounting experience; CPA; 10+ years work experience in tax compliance with a specialization in individual, fiduciary, estate, and gift taxation.
• Preferred/Desired:
  Master’s degree in tax or equivalent field.
