Temporary Administrative Support

The Ross and Carol Nese College of Nursing's Center for Nursing Research is seeking a temporary Administrative Support professional to assist with financial reconciliation and related administrative tasks during a high-volume operational period. This position plays a key role in ensuring the timely and accurate processing of financial transactions and supporting efficient workflows within the Research Administration team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Reconcile PCard, SAP, and travel expenses in accordance with University policies and procedures.
  • Review financial transactions for accuracy, completeness, and compliance.
  • Organize, track, and maintain documentation required for financial reconciliation and audits.
  • Communicate professionally with faculty, staff, and students to obtain missing information or resolve discrepancies.
  • Provide general administrative and operational support to the College of Nursing Research Administration team as assigned.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with Penn State administrative and financial systems (e.g., SAP, Concur, PCard, SIMBA), or experience working in an academic research university environment with comparable systems.
  • Prior experience in financial reconciliation, research administration, or financial/administrative operations.
  • Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently, manage competing priorities, and maintain confidentiality.

Employment with the University will require successful completion of background check(s) in accordance with University policies.
