The purpose of the Collections Coordinator is to provide administrative and secretarial support for Collections Management and Collection Associates while using the highest degree of discretion in confidential matters. This role uses analysis, planning and organizational methods and resources to accomplish tasks. Some degree of creativity, data analysis and problem solving skills are required to effectively provide solutions to department issues.
The Collections Coordinator is to follow department policy and procedures, exhibit teamwork, prepare and maintain accurate files, initiates the appropriate repossession and post auction notices as directed and as required by law. This position has moderate supervision of work and duties include, accurately processing incoming payments such as auction proceeds, trustee payments and third-party collection agency recoveries and timely filing of repossession invoices and condition reports.
The Collections Coordinator refers post-charge off accounts to third party collection agencies, completes reports, prepares legal documentation and forms, monitors office supply inventory, assists with projects and compiles data as requested. In addition, this role assists the team with the daily outgoing correspondence and works cooperatively with team members to accomplish work and special projects to include providing or inputting data for basic reports and spreadsheets and to complete other work assignments as requested.

- Ability to exert minimum amounts of force occasionally to lift, carry, push, pull or move objects
