Front Desk Coordinator - Pediatric Dental Office

We are seeking a friendly, organized, and dependable Front Desk Coordinator to join our busy pediatric dental office. The ideal candidate will provide a warm and welcoming experience for children and their parents while efficiently managing front-desk operations in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Greet and check patients in and out in a friendly and professional manner.
  • Verify and update patient demographics, insurance information, and contact details.
  • Review and update patient health histories and ensure all required information is current.
  • Answer multiple phone lines, assist parents with questions, and direct calls appropriately.
  • Schedule, reschedule, and confirm patient appointments.
  • Make appointment confirmation calls and follow up with families regarding upcoming visits.
  • Contact parents regarding outstanding balances, co-pays, deductibles, and other patient financial responsibilities.
  • Collect co-pays and payments while maintaining accurate records.
  • Assist with daily administrative tasks and support the dental team as needed.
  • Protect patient privacy and maintain confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA requirements.
  • Provide compassionate customer service while helping create a positive experience for pediatric patients and their families.
Ideal Candidate
  • Previous dental or front-office experience preferred.
  • Excellent communication and customer-service skills.
  • Comfortable speaking with parents about appointments and financial responsibilities.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Professional, friendly, patient, and dependable.
  • Comfortable working in a busy, fast-paced pediatric environment.
  • Ability to handle phone calls, patient check-ins, scheduling, and financial conversations while maintaining a positive attitude.
  • Experience with dental software and insurance verification is a plus.
