Stock Clerk - Danville State Hospital

The Stock Clerk 2 position with the Department of Human Services (DHS) at Danville State Hospital offers an active and essential role in keeping daily operations running smoothly. This position handles storeroom operations, inventory movement, and supply coordination for the hospital and its satellite locations. As a Stock Clerk 2, you will perform the following duties:

• Inventory Management: Maintain supply levels, process electronic entries in the inventory system, and support storeroom ordering needs
• Delivery Receiving: Check in shipments, verify order details, and assist with electronic receiving
• Storage Organization: Place items in proper storage by considering space, conditions, and frequency of use
• Equipment Operation: Operate forklifts, trucks, and other equipment to move materials throughout the facility
• Record Processing: Send paperwork to accounting and other departments and review inventory records to prevent overstocking
• Facility Upkeep: Clean storage areas, assist with minor equipment maintenance, and help maintain daily workflow

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

• Full-time employment, 37.5 hours per week
• Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch. Your schedule may change based on operational needs.
• Overtime and travel as needed

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

• One year of experience in stockroom, warehouse, or clerical work; and graduation from high school; or
• Any equivalent combination of experience and training.

• A conditional offer of employment will require a medical examination.
