Join our dynamic team as an Auto Parts Counterperson, where you'll be the vital link between customers and the automotive parts they need to keep their vehicles running smoothly. Duties
  • Greet customers warmly and determine their automotive parts needs through active listening and effective communication
  • Identify, locate, and recommend the correct parts using automotive diagnostics tools and inventory management systems
  • Process sales transactions accurately using POS (Point of Sale) systems while handling cash and credit payments with professionalism
  • Maintain organized stock levels by stocking shelves, conducting inventory control, and managing order fulfillment to prevent shortages or overstocking
  • Assist with vehicle maintenance advice and automotive repair guidance based on customer inquiries
  • Use negotiation skills to upsell products and promote additional services or accessories that meet customer needs
  • Keep detailed records of sales, inventory movements, and customer interactions within management software
Skills
  • Strong knowledge of automotive diagnostics, vehicle maintenance, and automotive service procedures
  • Excellent communication skills in multiple languages; bilingual abilities are highly valued for serving diverse customers
  • Proven experience in retail sales, inventory management, and stock control within an automotive or dealership environment
  • Proficiency with POS systems, Microsoft Excel, retail math, and basic cash handling procedures
  • Effective negotiation skills to enhance sales opportunities while ensuring customer satisfaction
  • Familiarity with dealership operations, marketing strategies, and automotive repair processes
  • Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced setting
  • Knowledge of CMMS platforms for maintenance tracking and inventory control is a plus
  • Outstanding phone etiquette for engaging with customers over the phone or in person
