Day in the Life of an Automotive Service TechnicianAs a Technician at Coughlin, you are the lifeblood of our relationship with customers. You maintain and repair vehicles for years after sale, diagnosing mechanical problems, explaining options, and performing agreed‑upon repairs. You deliver regular maintenance services that keep vehicles in top condition and provide legendary customer service. You’ll have the opportunity to earn additional certifications, work on a variety of makes, and build a real career.
Qualifications- Automobile repair experience
- Knowledge of methods, materials, and tools used in vehicle repair and maintenance
Certifications are preferred; dealership experience is a plus. If you are service‑oriented, attentive to detail, and can communicate technical information in layman’s terms, you might be perfect for this role.
Work ScheduleThe schedule is flexible, typically around 40 hours per week, with no cap on hours for flat‑rate technicians. Service departments are closed on Sundays and open only until 6 pm during the week.
