Aboutthe Position of Automotive Mechanic
As Mavis’s leaders in undercar repairs, Automotive Mechanics are trusted to inspect, diagnose, and perform a wide variety of automotive services on customers’ vehicles. They handle undercar repairs including brakes, struts, and shocks, complete state‑mandated inspections, change oil and filters, check fluids, replace worn parts, and dismount, mount, rotate, and balance tires.

Preferred qualifications include:
- State inspection license(s).
- Ase certifications: G1 (Automotive Maintenance and Light Repair), A4 (Suspension and Steering), A5 (Brakes).
As an active position, Automotive Mechanics must stand, walk, bend, kneel, stoop, crouch, crawl, climb, pull, reach, and perform repeated movements consistent with vehicle maintenance and repair. Mechanics must frequently lift and move items weighing over 50 pounds.
