The Regional Business Director’s mission is to develop new business with existing customers and win business with new customers in a geographically and culturally diverse regional market, with a strong focus on the Middle East region.

This includes the following responsibilities:

• Develop the business development strategy for the region and implement it to meet financial and non‑financial targets.
• Set the targets for new business in the region and identify potential opportunities to grow the business.
• Leverage existing relationships in government ministries and agencies to expand awareness of the company’s products into new or under‑served industry segments. Build and maintain a strong network of relevant partners for a successful governmental and non‑governmental business in the region.
• With the support of the strategy office and market intelligence team, gather market data and intelligence in order to support the strategy and its execution, make accurate forecasts of market developments trends and enable SICPA to be at the forefront of market opportunities.
• Manage qualified leads from the initial business opportunity stage to effective signature of contractual agreements.
Build and develop a network of internal and external resources to identify and win key business opportunities. Ensure that internal resources are aligned to service new and ongoing business in a cost effective and efficient way.
• Act as a key interface with operations teams to ensure that implementation of all projects is seamless between the customer, sales and the SICPA support structure.
• Actively participate and represent SICPA at key market events and conferences worldwide.

• Experienced business developer with at least 10 years of successful sales management experience in a business to government environment; understanding and knowledge of government’s decision‑making processes and markets are critical to this role.
• Successful track record of achievement and growth selling products and solutions in developing market segment.
• As the products and services to be sold are technology‑based, a strong prior understanding of, and appreciation for technology is critical. Specific knowledge of the inks/coatings, technology or security technology industry would be an advantage.
• Absolute, unquestioned professional ethics and integrity.
• A flexible mind, nimble and able to adapt to changing markets and market conditions.
• A tenacious go‑getter who is able to execute against a long‑term strategy without the need for constant direction yet comfortable collaborating with global business and functional heads at Headquarters.
• Excellent interpersonal skills, articulate, confident, and effective in influencing peers, partners and customers in multiple geographies and cultures.
• Able to operate across functions, and to handle very numerous stakeholders.
• Entrepreneurial mindset.
• Very high energy and stamina.
• Fluency in English is required; additional languages are considered an asset.
