About the Role

The Investment Manager Services Division (IMS) at SEI is expanding its Relationship Management and Client Service team. As a Relationship Manager, you will be responsible for managing and growing the overall relationship with assigned clients, ensuring revenue attainment, and delivering an exceptional client experience.

Responsibilities
  • Grow existing revenue and maintain target revenue and profitability through a trusted and consultative relationship.
  • Deepen and broaden strategic relationships at the C‑suite level, executive buyers, and key influencers.
  • Develop an intimate understanding of clients’ business, objectives, and competitors to provide tailored solutions.
  • Design and manage client account plans and conduct annual account reviews.
  • Lead the strategic planning and annual business planning process with clients.
  • Act as a consultant by identifying, presenting, and marketing innovative recommendations on industry trends, product differentiation, new market opportunities, and success stories.
  • Collaborate with the team to refine service offerings and manage client expectations.
  • Ensure client referenceability as evidenced by Net Promoter Score (NPS).
  • Develop forecasts for existing business using a Client Business Plan and current profitability data.
  • Identify, assess, and cross‑sell solutions and services, maximizing product profitability.
  • Contribute to the market unit’s success by participating in department‑wide initiatives to improve effectiveness.
  • Build and sustain relationships with SEI team members and other stakeholders such as Account Managers, Solutions, Operations, Marketing, and Wholesalers.
  • Leverage internal intellectual capital and share success stories.
  • Expand industry knowledge and network.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Minimum 10 years of investment management or operations experience, preferably in alternatives.
  • Excellent client service skills grounded in SEI Client Experience Principles.
  • Strong ability to connect with clients and establish trusted relationships.
  • Positive, hard‑working, and diligent attitude.
  • Proven project‑management skills.
  • Self‑motivation and drive to manage multiple client deliverables without compromising excellence or quality.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills; primarily supporting clients via email and phone.
  • Willingness to travel up to 10% of time.
  • Drive to learn new systems and concepts, with a broad industry knowledge.
  • Collaborative approach with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing client needs.
  • Curiosity and critical thinking to identify solutions and implement efficient processes.
