Role Overview
The Sourcing Manager is responsible for the timely and cost-effective strategic sourcing of complex goods and/or services within the assigned categories. The role focuses on developing and executing category strategies based on rigorous analysis of spend data, market dynamics, and business requirements while ensuring compliance with organizational policies and enhancing supplier performance.
Key Responsibilities- Execute sourcing strategies for assigned categories to deliver cost savings and benefit realization.
- Implement process improvements for operational efficiency and vendor management.
- Conduct supplier research, RFPs, and contract negotiations, developing negotiation strategies to maximize total value and minimize risk.
- Manage day‑to‑day vendor relationships, including contracts, consignment agreements, and rental agreements.
- Recommend vendor selections and contract terms for review and present bid results to leadership.
- Perform market analysis and trend monitoring, leveraging data, external resources, and cost modeling for fact‑based decision making.
- Collaborate with internal departments (clinical teams, finance, logistics, value analysis) to address sourcing needs and build stakeholder influence.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and supplier performance, ensuring contractual compliance and preparing business cases, should‑cost models, and financial analyses (ROI, savings tracking, make‑vs‑buy models).
- Develop expertise in assigned categories, staying current on industry best practices and technology innovations.
- Minimum 5+ years of experience in sourcing, contract negotiation, and supply chain management.
- Bachelor’s Degree in healthcare administration, business, or a related field.
- Knowledge of healthcare regulations and proficiency in data analysis tools.
- Strong leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills.
- Strategic thinking, problem‑solving, and presentation abilities.
- Preferred certification: C.P.M. or equivalent.
