Basic Function

Assembly of data, analyses of performance, and identification of problems, as well as develop recommendations which support supply chain management planning and operations. Responsible for striving to understand customer needs, take actions to meet those needs and commitments.

General

Job Responsibilities
  • Regularly provide analysis of supply chain data to ensure key performance indicators are met and making recommendations for process improvement.
  • Utilize historical sales in combination with data on trends to generate supply plans and forecast product flow.
  • Maintain accurate supplier lead-times, replenishment rules and adjust inventory based on customer demand, seasonality, marketing and new product initiatives and sales promotions.
  • Precisely generate purchase orders based on supply plan and ensure the smooth flow of goods into multiple branch plants, in accordance with company policies and procedures.
  • Perform order confirmation management and reconciliation.
  • Analyze and compare shipping schedules to open orders, communicate and reconcile all discrepancies with vendors and identify product availability issues to Sales, Marketing and Operations management.
  • Attend product team meetings and coordinate all Materials issues for new product introductions.
  • Control all product phase-outs and end of life to minimize inventory exposure.
  • Create, update, and maintain standard work process and supply chain documentation, seeking to improve processes, and making recommendations as appropriate.
  • Ensure a high level of customer service and adequately answer internal and external questions and inquiries in a timely manner.
  • Prepare and complete reports as assigned.
Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Logistics, Information Systems or related.
  • Minimum 1 year experience, in a quantitative and analytical role.
  • Working knowledge of Outlook, Excel, Microsoft Teams, PowerPoint and Word.
  • Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, Software Requirements.
  • Quantitative and analytical:
    Highly numerate and possess the ability to perform statistical analysis on large data set, to provide analytical support for projects and new business opportunities.
  • Problem-solving skills:
    Proven ability to identify and resolve problems.
  • Critical thinking skills:
    Affinity for data and resourcefulness in obtaining data and must be able to relate with abstract to make decisions in situations where complete information is not available.
  • Strategic and analytical thinker:
    Make decisions with a long-term focus in a results-oriented environment.
  • Organizational skills:
    Effectively prioritize assignments, manage workload, as well as manage multiple concurrent projects in a fast-paced environment.
  • Team player:
    Possess the ability to work with cross functional teams and effectively in a team environment.
  • Communication skills:
    Strong written and oral communication abilities to perform job duties successfully, especially producing weekly reports.
  • Apt for Learning:
    Consistently demonstrate proven ability to learn and use necessary tools.
  • Thorough knowledge of MRP and other inventory planning techniques, including a good understanding of purchasing fundamentals. JDE experience a plus.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to sit for long periods of time.
Other Requirements
  • Maintain a strong understanding of data processes, reporting analytics and strategies, supply chain needs and inventory management.
  • Plan and control inventory by demonstrating complete ownership and accountability for all assigned products.
  • Make decisions on purchase quantities for products based on the sales forecast and targeted inventory levels and to analyze and make recommendations on alternate shipping routes to ensure we are meeting customer requirements.
  • Ability to handle job related stress.

    Ability to learn, understand and explain our technical products.
  • Interact with others in a focused, positive, courteous, respectful, and professional business-like manner.
  • Regular attendance is an essential element of the job. Unplanned absences have the potential to impair the operation of the department and diminish effectiveness of the company.
