Vocational Training Assistant

Instructor for high functioning adults with special needs at the Moon Twp. Employment Option Center adult day program.

Job Duties:

• Ability to grasp and teach vocational skills as well as promote personal independence.
• Provide hands on support to individuals as needed
• Plan and implement engaging activities with the individuals
• Organization skills, flexibility and the ability to handle multiple projects.
• Good written and oral communication skills

Qualifications:

• Associate's degree or relevant college credits in the human service field preferred.
• Supervisory experience preferred.
• Minimum 2 years of experience working with individuals with IDD.
• Demonstrates a working knowledge of team leadership.
• Computer skills
• Valid Driver's License

Requirements (all provided by McGuire):

• Ability to pass physical and drug screening
• Department of Human Services Child Abuse History Clearance
• Pennsylvania State Police Criminal Record Check
• FBI Federal Criminal History Record (fingerprinting)
• TB testing
