The Product Manager will support the pillows and toppers portfolio by helping translate category strategy into successful product execution. While the VP leads the overall category vision, product roadmap, and strategic direction, this role plays a critical part in shaping initiatives and driving them forward through day-to-day management and cross-functional coordination. The Product Manager will serve as the operational backbone of the category, leading the development of product briefs, launch materials, customer presentations, and other key product documentation.
Working closely with R&D, Sales, Operations, and Marketing, this individual will ensure products progress efficiently from concept through commercialization and onto retail shelves. This role is ideal for a highly organized, detail-oriented professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is passionate about turning strategy into action. Success in this position requires strong project management skills, effective cross-functional collaboration, and the ability to balance multiple priorities while maintaining a sharp focus on execution and results.
- Support the VP of Product Management in developing and maintaining the category strategy and product roadmap for pillows and toppers.
- Create new product overviews that clearly communicate features, positioning, and value to internal and external audiences.
- Develop product marketing briefs to guide product development, packaging, and go-to-market execution.
- Build compelling customer presentations to support line reviews, sell-in, and account meetings.
- Manage the day-to-day operations of the portfolio, keeping projects, timelines, and cross-functional partners on track.
- Translate consumer, retailer, and competitive insights into inputs for the roadmap and new product ideas.
- Coordinate cross-functional execution across R&D, operations, quality, sales, and marketing from concept through launch.
- Maintain product information, specifications, and portfolio documentation to keep teams aligned.
- Monitor category performance, competitive activity, and consumer trends, and surface findings to the VP.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, engineering, or a related field.
- 3–7 years of product management, product marketing, brand management, or related commercial experience, ideally in consumer products, bedding, home furnishings, or a manufacturing environment.
- Strong project management and organizational skills, with the ability to juggle multiple products and timelines.
- Excellent written and presentation skills — you can turn information into a clear product overview, brief, or customer deck.
- Solid commercial and analytical sense — comfortable working with pricing, margin, and forecasts as inputs.
- Ability to collaborate across R&D, operations, sales, and marketing without direct authority.
- Consumer-first mindset with the curiosity to turn insight into product.
- Experience in bedding, mattress, or foam industry preferred.
- Familiarity with major retail channels (mass, club, e-commerce) and the line-review process preferred.
- Exposure to product design, materials science, or manufacturing operations preferred.
