The Demand Planning Analyst is responsible for supporting all demand planning and sales forecasting activities for the Certain Teed Siding Products Group (SPG). This position will be tasked with supporting the monthly demand planning (sales forecast) process, working in concert with the Senior Demand Planner. This covers the generation of the consensus sales forecast at an aggregate level, and its disaggregation to the most detailed level (SKU and plant).
The Demand Planning Analyst drives the creation and maintenance of the sales forecast by combining inputs from customers, Sales, Product Management, historical data, and other relevant sources. The Demand Planner also supports the broader S&OP process through various reporting, analysis, and data visualization responsibilities.
** Demand Planning*
* + Develop demand forecasts (operational forecasts) at multiple levels of aggregation for multiple time horizons.
+ Assist Senior Demand Planner with facilitation of monthly collaborative consensus sales forecast meeting with sales, product management, finance.
+ Maintain baseline / statistical forecasts, collecting forecast drivers and highlighting changes and drivers in the plan to key stakeholders. Interact with sales and product management to understand demand forecast drivers.
+ Review historical sales trends, research and highlight demand drivers, prepare forecast data, develop statistical forecast models, and evaluate forecast results.
+ Collect, analyze, and interpret data related to market conditions, demand drivers, and key sales forecast assumptions.
+ Track Forecast KPI's including bias, accuracy and forecast value add. Use these KPI's to drive improvements.
+ Coordinate cross-functional research activities to reconcile significant variances and refine the forecast model to reflect updated sales and product management assumptions.
+ Use and maintain the Demand Planning software/files as the primary forecasting system tool.
+ Collect and summarize input from Sales and Product Management regarding market insights and planned-event impacts to build into forecast.
+ Ensure that consensus sales forecast is accurately disaggregated to SKU/plant level inside of SAP APO Demand
+ Planning and SAP ECC.
+ Address demand-related queries and issues in a timely manner
** Analysis*
* + Work with internal stakeholders to develop and enhance reporting, analysis, and data visualization tools such as Power BI, Power Query, Qlik View
+ Support Planning Analyst in his/her regular responsibilities as needed and to cover vacations
+ Support Planning Manager and Planning Director with ad hoc reporting and data requests
+ Support all aspects of S&OP Process with data analysis and reporting as needed, in the areas of:
+ Demand
+ Inventory
+ Network optimization and utilization
+ Perfect Order performance
+ Root cause analysis

- + Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain, Information Systems, or related field
+ Minimum 3 to 5 years of experience in a Supply Chain environment focused on demand planning and analysis
+
Demonstrated proficiency in statistics, forecasting, and analysis
+ Strong analytical, organizational, decision making, and presentation skills
+ Ability to identify issues, lead root cause analysis, and develop corrective action plans
+ Change management and conflict management skills
+ Strong influencer with good written and oral communication skills, including online and in-person meeting management
+ Ability to draw conclusions from large data sets, and present them to others to enable decision-making
+ Flexible, curious, and open-minded
+ Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel, Power BI, Access
+ SAP MRP, ERP planning software experience
