Project Engineer, Civil Engineering

We are seeking a motivated Project Engineer to support the successful delivery of heavy highway construction projects. This role is ideal for an early- to mid-career professional who thrives in a fast-paced field environment and is eager to grow within the construction industry. The Project Engineer will work closely with the Project Manager, field teams, and project stakeholders to ensure projects are completed safely, on schedule, and within budget.

• Assist the Project Manager with planning, scheduling, and coordination of heavy highway construction projects.
• Participate in jobsite, progress, and coordination meetings
  , ensuring clear communication among project teams and stakeholders.
• Track quantities, items of work, and change orders to maintain scope control and budget compliance.
• Support project documentation, including RFIs, submittals, daily reports, and cost tracking.
• Execute and support the Project Safety Plan
  , promoting a safe and compliant work environment for all personnel.
• Collaborate with project owners, government agencies, inspectors, and consultants to ensure adherence to contract requirements and quality standards.
• Assist with schedule updates, cost forecasting, and progress reporting as required.

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management
  , or a related field preferred.
• Experience or coursework related to heavy highway or infrastructure construction is a plus.
• Proficiency with CAD and Primavera P6 scheduling software preferred.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Willingness to work in both office and field environments
