A well-established and growing mechanical contracting firm is seeking an experienced Project Manager to oversee commercial and industrial HVAC / plumbing / piping projects from award through closeout. This is a hands‑on leadership role for someone who understands the field, owns project financials, and thrives in a fast‑paced construction environment.
What You’ll Be Responsible For- Managing mechanical construction projects from preconstruction through final closeout
- Reviewing drawings, specifications, and coordinating with other trades
- Developing and maintaining project budgets, schedules, and cost forecasts
- Overseeing RFIs, submittals, change orders, and documentation
- Coordinating closely with foremen and field leadership
- Communicating with owners, architects, engineers, and subcontractors
- Managing billing, pay applications, and ensuring timely project completion
- Experience as a Project Manager with a mechanical contractor (HVAC, plumbing, piping, or MEP)
- Strong understanding of jobsite execution and construction sequencing
- Ability to manage multiple projects while maintaining financial control
- Experience with project management tools (Procore, Bluebeam, MS Project, Excel, etc.)
- Organized, accountable, and comfortable making decisions
- Stable backlog of commercial and industrial work
- Leadership that understands construction and supports PM autonomy
- Direct impact on project success and profitability
