CONSTRUCTION MANAGER

Join a real estate private equity firm with a nationwide portfolio and play a hands‑on role shaping high‑impact construction and renovation projects. We’re looking for a driven Construction Manager to support our Philadelphia investment team and oversee project execution across our holdings—office, retail, industrial, and multifamily. You’ll own scopes, budgets, schedules, and partner coordination from start to finish in a fast‑paced, entrepreneurial environment where initiative and follow‑through matter.

In this role, you’ll collaborate closely with investments, leasing, and senior leadership, and you’ll see your work directly improve asset performance and tenant experience.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Own construction and renovation scopes and specifications for new and existing assets
  • Review and interpret plans, drawings, and specifications to guide execution
  • Review tenant drawings, provide timely comments, and support approvals through closeout
  • Partner with local municipalities to secure permits and coordinate inspections
  • Source, evaluate, and select contractors through a competitive bid process
  • Negotiate contracts and scopes to align cost, schedule, and quality expectations
  • Manage pay applications, draw requests, and change orders with a detail‑oriented, controls mindset
  • Lead projects through regular site visits—tracking progress, resolving issues, and driving on‑time, on‑budget delivery
  • Communicate clear project updates, risks, and recommendations to senior leadership
  • Partner with Capital Markets on acquisitions and with Leasing on new deals and renewals to support timely tenant delivery
  • Maintain organized, audit‑ready construction documentation aligned to firm policies and procedures
  • Take on additional projects and priorities as the portfolio evolves
Critical Qualifications and Skills
  • Bachelor’s degree (Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or related field preferred)
  • 4+ years of construction experience (real estate investment firm and/or national service provider experience a plus)
  • Strong judgment and problem‑solving skills; comfortable working independently and as part of a team
  • Clear, confident communicator (written, verbal, and interpersonal)
  • Ability to manage multiple projects at once and deliver results under tight deadlines
  • Proven negotiation skills and vendor‑management experience
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills (Excel and Word)
  • Willingness to travel ~30% across the U.S.
  • A proactive, “roll‑up‑your‑sleeves” mindset and the desire to thrive in a fast‑paced, entrepreneurial environment

If you’re excited by ownership, variety, and seeing projects through from concept to completion, we’d like to hear from you.
