Schedule: Minimum 40 hours per week (flexible, with some onsite presence required)
Position Overview
Ernst Brothers Builders is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Safety Coach to support and strengthen our commitment to jobsite safety. This role is responsible for promoting a culture of safety across all projects, ensuring compliance with safety standards, and coaching team members and trade partners on best practices.
This position is integral to maintaining jobsites that reflect our standards of professionalism, care, and excellence.

A safe, organized, and respectful jobsite is fundamental to that experience. The Safety Coach plays a key role in setting and maintaining this standard every day.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct regular jobsite safety inspections and audits across multiple projects
- Identify potential hazards and work with project teams to implement corrective actions
- Coach field staff and trade partners on safe work practices and company safety expectations
- Assist in developing, implementing, and maintaining safety policies and procedures
- Lead toolbox talks and safety meetings
- Monitor compliance with OSHA and local safety regulations
- Investigate incidents, near misses, and unsafe conditions, and prepare detailed reports
- Maintain accurate records of inspections, incidents, and safety training
- Collaborate with project managers and superintendents to integrate safety into daily operations
- Support onboarding and ongoing safety training for employees and subcontractors
Qualifications
- 3+ years of construction safety experience preferred
- Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations and construction safety standards
- OSHA 30 certification required (or willingness to obtain)
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to influence and coach others in a positive, constructive manner
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Comfortable working across multiple jobsites
