Asphalt Paving Laborer

Schlouch Inc. has been Eastern PA’s leading site/civil contractor since 1983 and is still growing! We currently have an exciting opportunity available for a reliable person to join our team as an Asphalt Paving Laborer. Asphalt Paving Laborers are expected to perform paving related tasks such as raking, shoveling and luting on residential, commercial, public, and private job sites in a 75 mile radius of Reading, PA.

The Asphalt Paving Laborer position has excellent potential for growth and advancement and is well suited to the individual looking to grow their career in the trade industry. Mentoring and training will be provided to the ideal candidate.

The ideal Asphalt Paving Laborer candidate is expected to do or learn the following:

• Work independently and as a member of a crew on active job sites
• Perform manual/physical labor/lift at least 50 pounds
• Work in varied weather and site conditions including around traffic
• Use basic hand and power tools
• Understand basic math and ability to read a tape measure
• Understanding or willingness to learn paving operations; flagging certification is a plus

Salary / Hourly Wage: starting at $23.50 / hr based on experience.
