SUMMARYWe are seeking an experienced asphalt crew member to join our Pine Creek Site Works field team. The ideal candidate will have hands‑on experience with asphalt paving, site preparation, and construction site operations. Experience operating or assisting with an asphalt paver is strongly preferred.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIESTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. - Assist with asphalt paving, patching, grading, and finishing work
- Operate hand tools, compactors, rollers, and other paving equipment
- Assist with layout, site prep, and cleanup
- Work alongside paving crews to ensure quality workmanship and production goals
- Rake and lute asphalt to proper grade and finish
- Support concrete and excavation crews as needed
- Follow all company safety procedures and DOT regulations
- Perform routine equipment inspections and maintenance checks
- CDL Class A - Is a plus
- Prior asphalt paving experience - Preferred
- Experience operating or working around an asphalt paver - Preferred
- Knowledge of asphalt placement, compaction, and finishing techniques
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and perform physical labor daily
- Dependable transportation and strong work ethic required
- Experience with milling, grading, or excavation
- Ability to operate skid steers, rollers, or loaders
- Understanding of commercial and residential paving projects

The employee is required to sit; stand; walk; crouch; kneel; stoop; use hands to manipulate, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms.
This position requires climbing ladders occasionally; pushing; pulling and grasping frequently. This position requires outdoor work in all weather conditions and may involve extended hours during peak construction season. This position requires the ability to occasionally lift supplies, up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
ENVIRONMENT
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts. The employee is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles, extreme heat. The employee is frequently exposed to outside weather conditions. The noise level in the work environment is occasionally loud.
