The Construction Superintendent position requires construction professionals with proven experience managing commercial projects with a broad range of size and scope. This is a full-time, salaried position. eci Construction has corporate offices in Dillsburg, PA, and commercial job sites throughout Central Pennsylvania. As Construction Superintendent you will provide leadership and management skills to oversee and coordinate all daily operations and phases of on-site activities.

You will be supported by an experienced, proven team of Project Managers and corporate staff, providing the resources you need to be successful in your role.

Position Requirements

Duties and Responsibilities

• Manage the construction schedule, including company manpower, material delivery, and equipment to ensure the efficiency required to meet quality and completion expectations.

• Coordinate and manage the scheduling of all subcontractors and trades, utilizing pre-installation meetings to review compliance with specifications, start and completion dates, and quality of performance.

• Review and understand plans, specifications, submittals, and shop drawings to verify construction accuracy in all phases.

• Complete required documentation including daily logs, timecards for field employees, as-built conditions, monthly progress updates, etc.

• Supervise and enforce all safety protocols in compliance with company policies and OSHA standards. Conduct regular safety meetings and inspections to minimize risk.

• Foster positive communication and relationships with all stakeholders, including owners, architects, engineers, inspectors, and all project teams.

Knowledge and Skills

• Able to read and understand blueprints, specifications, and contract documents

• Excellent communication and coordination abilities

• Effective problem-solving and decision-making abilities

• Commitment to working as part of a family-oriented team

• Self-starter, have the self-initiative for project leadership

• Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines

• Comfortable with using a computer, laptop, smartphone

• Familiar with Procore preferred but not required
