Construction Estimator
A well-established General Contractor and Construction Management firm is seeking a Construction Estimator to join its growing team. This role is responsible for preparing detailed cost estimates, analyzing construction documents, managing bid processes, and supporting preconstruction efforts across a diverse portfolio of commercial, institutional, healthcare, educational, religious, retirement community, and high-end residential projects.
• Prepare accurate conceptual, schematic, and detailed construction estimates
• Review drawings, specifications, and project documents
• Perform quantity takeoffs and scope analysis
• Solicit, evaluate, and level subcontractor and supplier proposals
• Develop project budgets and assist with preliminary scheduling
• Coordinate with project managers, architects, owners, subcontractors, and vendors
• Maintain strong relationships with subcontractors and suppliers
• Manage multiple estimates and bid deadlines simultaneously
• Support preconstruction and business development efforts as needed
• 5+ years of Construction Estimating experience
• Experience with a General Contractor (GC) or Construction Management firm
• Strong background estimating commercial, institutional, healthcare, educational, religious, retirement community, and/or high-end residential projects
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications
• Experience preparing quantity takeoffs and detailed cost estimates
• Strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
• Experience using estimating software such as Sage Estimating, Pipeline, or similar platforms
• Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or related field
• Senior-level estimating experience
• Experience managing multiple bids simultaneously
• Established subcontractor and vendor relationships within the construction industry
• General Contracting or Construction Management estimating experience
• Ground-up and/or major renovation project estimating experience
• Commercial and/or institutional construction background
• Stable work history
• Ability to work onsite in the Kimberton/Phoenixville, PA area
