Position Summary
We are seeking a hands-on Senior Safety Coordinator to lead both field safety operations and administrative compliance initiatives. This role combines on-site safety audits, inspections, and incident investigations with office-based analysis, reporting, and continuous improvement of safety policies and procedures. As the primary safety representative for assigned projects, you will promote a culture of safety while ensuring compliance with OSHA regulations, company standards, and client requirements.
The ideal candidate is a proactive safety professional who can effectively influence field teams, drive operational excellence, and strengthen safety programs through strategic leadership and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct site audits, identify hazards, and ensure corrective actions are completed in a timely manner.
- Partner with project teams to enforce safety policies and provide guidance to field leadership.
- Lead safety meetings, toolbox talks, and project briefings while maintaining documentation for audit readiness.
- Ensure compliance with OSHA standards and all applicable regulatory requirements.
- Manage incident investigations, maintain OSHA logs, and prepare safety reports.
- Analyze safety trends and support continuous improvement initiatives.
- Maintain training records, safety files, and compliance documentation.
- Support pre-job planning, subcontractor onboarding, and implementation of project safety programs.

- Experience with audits, safety programs, and incident investigations
- Strong knowledge of OSHA standards and safety best practices
- Effective communication and leadership skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Valid driver's license (TWIC preferred)
Education & Certifications
- OSHA 30-Hour, First Aid/CPR/AED (required)
- STS-C (required); CHST (preferred)
- Bachelor's degree in safety-related field (preferred)
Work Environment & Physical Demands
This role requires a combination of office-based and active job site work, with travel of up to 50%. Candidates must be able to navigate active construction sites, work in varying weather conditions, and occasionally lift up to 25 pounds. Limited remote work flexibility is available, and occasional evening or weekend hours may be required to support project needs.
What Sets You Apart
You are a proactive safety professional who takes ownership of safety performance and leads through influence rather than authority. You thrive in fast-paced construction environments, build strong relationships across all levels of the organization, and foster a culture of accountability and continuous improvement. With a collaborative approach and strong leadership skills, you seamlessly integrate safety into daily operations while promoting compliance, operational excellence, and a commitment to protecting people and projects.
