Our client, an established commercial construction company in the Philadelphia area, is seeking an experienced Project Manager to independently oversee commercial construction projects from preconstruction through completion. This is an excellent opportunity for a Project Manager who enjoys having significant ownership of their projects. New business is primarily generated by ownership, allowing the Project Manager to focus on execution, client relationships, profitability, and successful project delivery.

Responsibilities include independently managing multiple commercial construction projects, owning project budgets, schedules, contracts, and overall financial performance, coordinating subcontractors, vendors, field teams, and internal departments, partnering closely with Superintendents throughout construction, managing client relationships and serving as a primary point of contact, overseeing RFIs, submittals, change orders, purchasing, invoicing, and project documentation, monitoring project costs, profitability, safety, and quality, participating in estimating, budgeting, bidding, and contract negotiations, managing projects through punch list, closeout, and final turnover, and supporting and overseeing Assistant Project Managers when assigned.

Requirements include a strong commercial construction background, proven experience independently managing projects from start to finish, stable employment history with demonstrated project ownership, strong understanding of estimating, scheduling, cost control, and subcontractor management, financially driven with the ability to manage the business side of each project, strong client communication and negotiation skills, and being self-directed and comfortable operating with minimal oversight.
