• Develop and implement a comprehensive dramatics curriculum that aligns with educational standards and student interests.
• Organize and direct school plays, performances, and other theatrical events, ensuring a high-quality experience for both participants and audiences.
• Foster a supportive and inclusive environment that encourages student participation and creativity.
• Collaborate with other faculty members to integrate dramatics into the broader educational experience.
• Provide mentorship and guidance to students in acting, stagecraft, and other aspects of theater production.
• Conduct auditions, rehearsals, and workshops, offering constructive feedback to help students grow as performers.
• Manage budgets and resources for productions, including costumes, props, and set design.
• Communicate effectively with students, parents, and the school community regarding events, schedules, and opportunities in dramatics.
• Stay informed about best practices and trends in theater education, incorporating new ideas into the program.

• Previous experience in teaching or directing theater, preferably in a middle school setting.
• Strong knowledge of various aspects of theater production, including acting, directing, and stage design.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to connect with students of diverse backgrounds.
• Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues, parents, and the community.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
• A passion for the performing arts and a commitment to fostering student engagement in dramatics.
• Certification in education or relevant teaching credentials preferred.
