SUMMARY

The position of Drama Music Director assembles, instructs and produces the vocal and instrumental portion of the drama productions.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Evaluate the musical scores to determine the level of difficulty for a successful performance.

Audition and select singers and musicians.

Rehearse and instruct vocal and instrumental musicians in the music production.

Direct the vocal and instrumental portion of the production.

Be responsible for the supervision of those involved in the vocal and instrumental portion of the production while in the building during rehearsals and performances.

Be responsible for the acquisition and return of music, equipment, and materials needed for the vocal and instrumental portion of the production.

Prepare audio tapes for the choreography and vocal parts.

Rearrange and transpose vocal and instrumental music as needed.
