Role and Responsibilities
- Manages the day-to‑day television programming operation for multiple platforms and all FAST Channel OTT opportunities.
- Actively partners with the VP of News to create a three‑screen synergy (TV, digital, mobile) around station content.
- Works closely with NBC Sports Philadelphia in developing content for streaming channels.
- Leads the content teams to develop workflows that deliver our content 24/7 across current and future platforms with storytelling optimized for each screen.
- Identifies new content types and innovative technologies that help reach and serve new audiences.
- Communicates vision to writers, anchors, and field crews to deliver dynamic and accurate stories and segments.
- Develops an understanding of streaming and non‑linear products and consistently contributes to them.
- Collaborates with other departments for cross‑promotion opportunities and strategy.
- Promotes inclusive journalism on all platforms.
- Analyzes and actively uses data and metrics to make informed editorial and strategic decisions and to create accountability for results.
- Coaches and mentors content teams in best practices for writing and producing content for digital and social platforms.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
- Minimum five years’ experience in content development and production.
- Previous experience supervising a team of 3 or more.
- Strong writing and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and achieve quality results consistently.
- Demonstrated excellence in communication skills.
- Proven ability to build and maintain relationships.
- Exhibit executive presence, especially when dealing with high‑level executives and corporate representatives.
- Superior organizational skills.
- Past work experience in the media industry or broadcast environment.
- Sharp attention to detail.
- Ability to lead and influence across various functions and disciplines, including production and sales professionals.
- Bilingual (a plus).
- Must be able to work flexible hours, including weekends, holidays, and overnights, as needed or required.
- Must be willing to work at the station in Philadelphia, PA.
- Must have unrestricted work authorization to work in the United States.
