Penn State University Libraries’ Public Relations and Marketing Office is seeking an outgoing, collaborative, creative student with excellent multimedia/video communication skills to serve as a part‑time Public Relations and Marketing multimedia communications intern. The internship focuses on creating a portfolio of professional‑quality, original short video content that promotes the Libraries’ strategic initiatives and demonstrates its unified, first‑rate resources and services to students.
Responsibilities- Record, edit, and publicly release frequent promotional, social media, and news feature‑style video content for a variety of audiences, centered on students.
- Create original candid photography and exemplify strong written communication skills.
- Submit two original video samples and two relevant digital images demonstrating photo‑journalistic abilities with the application.
- Minimum 3.0 cumulative GPA.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently under deadlines with remote supervision.
- Strong multimedia/video and photography skills; excellent written communication preferred.
During summer 2026, the intern will work 10–15 hours per week. From fall 2026 through spring 2027, the schedule is 15 hours per week, with a strong possibility of a one‑year extension.
