Broadcast Director; Freelance

Operating proactively and collaboratively as part of Lafayette College’s Communications Division, the Athletic Communications Department serves to publicize and promote Lafayette through the College’s 23 NCAA Division I sports. Utilizing strategic public relations, marketing and communications efforts, Lafayette’s outstanding student-athletes are showcased for their incredible balance of athletic endeavors and academic pursuits.

• Reporting directly to the Video Production Manager and the Video Production Assistant
• Direct live broadcasts for ESPN+/Lafayette Sports Network
• Manage a team of freelancers
• Set up and breakdown equipment for broadcasts
• Assist in continuing to curate a brand for Lafayette Athletics
• Increasing non-gameday content to promote Lafayette’s mission and core values

• Experience with Adobe Premiere Pro, or Final Cut X
• Experience in Live Sport Productions
  • Experience with New Tek Products (Tricaster, 3 PLAY, NC I/O), and Simply Live preferred but not required
• Background/experience in post-production
• Passion for college athletics
• Willingness to work a flexible schedule including nights and weekends
• Knowledge of JVC Pro cameras, and filming live events
• Preferred Knowledge of Canon cameras
• Ability to meet tight deadlines and work well under pressure

Part-time position, Hours will vary by week and sports schedule. Single rate per game worked.
