Winter Guard Assistant Instructor

A Winter Guard Assistant Instructor is responsible for assisting the Winter Guard Instructor with coaching and guiding a group of students in a performing arts team that combines elements of dance, flag spinning, rifle tossing, and saber choreography, typically performed indoors during the winter season.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities :
Develop and communicate a compelling artistic vision for the winter guard, ensuring visually striking and cohesive performances. Design and choreograph routines that complement the guard's musical selections, enhancing the overall performance. Provide comprehensive instruction in dance, flag, rifle, and baton techniques, ensuring students develop strong foundational skills. Conduct regular rehearsals, focusing on precision, coordination, and expression to achieve high-quality performances.

Foster a supportive and inclusive environment, encouraging teamwork, discipline, and artistic growth. Collaborate with the marching band director to integrate the band front seamlessly into field shows, parades, and other events. Coordinate logistics for performances, including costumes, props, and equipment, ensuring all elements are performance-ready. Perform other duties as assigned by supervisory staff.

Education and Experience:
