Job Overview

The Relationship Banking Associate delivers high quality customer service and responsiveness to ensure fulfillment and satisfaction of both internal and external customers. This role responsible for efficient and timely processing of routine transactions and related services, accurately in accordance with policy and procedures. It also identifies and refers sales opportunities to appropriate business partners to satisfy customer needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Process routine transactions and general customer and account servicing duties with a high level of accuracy and efficiency (approx. 65% of the role). This includes teller transactions, administrative duties, record maintenance, form/report preparation, and daily vault balancing.
  • Engage in referral and relationship management in accordance with established objectives and goals.
  • Provide support for new deposit account openings as required.
  • Adhere to security measures and controls to minimize potential losses to the company.
  • Identify customer opportunities through consultative conversations to assess needs (approx. 25% of the role). Conduct sales and service calls to existing and potential customers, negotiate solutions, and refer them to appropriate business partners.
  • Take ownership to resolve customer issues and complaints, ensuring high responsiveness and timely action.
  • Participate in community events that support the Community Reinvestment Act (CRA) (approx. 5% of the role).
  • Perform other duties as assigned and required (approx. 5% of the role).
Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent.
  • Minimum one year of experience in related banking positions or equivalent sales/customer service experience.
  • Excellent listening and communication skills.
  • Ability to approach, identify, and have conversations with customers to uncover needs and opportunities.
  • Strong organizational, interpersonal, and customer relational skills, including problem‑solving and decision‑making.
  • Ability to function in a fast‑paced, ever‑changing environment.
  • Team player with a collaborative attitude.
  • Proficient computer skills.
Physical Requirements
  • Communicate effectively with internal and/or external customers.
  • Stationary 50% of the time.
  • Move about within or between locations.
  • Bend, twist, crouch, or squat.
  • Move objects up to 20 lbs.
