The Membership Representative & Regristration Desk Attendant is the face of the YMCA. This role blewnds exceptional customer service with sales and administrrtive support. You will create a welcoming environment, drive membership growth, and register participants for programs. Your goal is to connect community members with the Y's mission.
Key Responsibilities:
- Cunstomer
Experience:
Great members and guests warmly. Scan membership cards. Ensure secure entry. - Membership Sales: Conduct facility tours. Explain the benefits of joining the YMA. Convert prospects into active members.
- Program Registration: Process registrations for youth sports, swim lessons, camp, and fitness classes.
- Financial Transactions: Handle cash, checks and credit card payments. Balance the cash drawer daily.
- Communication Hub: Answer incoming phone calls, direct inquiries, and billing data.
- Coflict Resolution: Address members questions, concerns, or billing issues with patience and emplathy.
Qualifications:
- Excellent communication skills. Friendly, approachable demeanor.
- Basic computer skills. Ability to navigate standard membership software.
- Strong multi-tasking skills. Calm under pressure during peak registration and check-in hours.
Physical Demands
- Ability to sit or stand at the desk for long periods.
- Ability to view a computer screen and typing for extended shifts.
- Ability to walk the facility to conduct tours.
Shifts Needed: Thursdays: 5-9 p.m.
Mondays: 4-9 p.m.
Saturdays: 12-5 p.m.

All positions require the ability to obtain PA State Police, PA Child Abuse History, FBI Fingerprint and National Sex Offenders Registry Clearances. If you do not have current clearances the Y will help you obtain them.
