Nick DeMaio State Farm is seeking a dynamic, service-oriented Customer Retention Specialist who enjoys helping people, building strong relationships, and delivering a high-quality customer experience. Licensing Requirement (Job Contingent)This position is contingent upon obtaining required insurance licenses.
- Candidates must be fully licensed or willing to obtain licensing with agency support
- Property & Casualty license must be obtained prior to your Day 1 start
- Life & Health license must be obtained within 45 days of your start date
- Full guidance, study direction, and support provided throughout the licensing process
As a Customer Retention Specialist, you will focus on servicing existing customers, managing renewals, and maintaining long‑term relationships. You will play a key role in customer retention while also identifying opportunities to strengthen coverage through needs‑based, in‑book sales conversations.
Success in this role is measured by customer satisfaction, retention, and contribution to overall agency growth.
Responsibilities- Provide exceptional service to existing policyholders across both locations
- Communicate with customers regarding renewals, policy updates, and coverage options
- Assist with policy changes, endorsements, billing questions, and account updates
- Build and maintain strong relationships to support retention and referrals
- Identify opportunities to strengthen coverage and pivot service conversations into in‑book sales
- Maintain accurate and detailed documentation of customer interactions
- Collaborate with team members to support retention, service, and growth goals
- Ensure compliance with agency standards and regulatory requirements
- Strong customer service and relationship‑building skills
- Effective communication and active listening abilities
- Detail‑oriented with strong organizational and multitasking skills
- Problem‑solving mindset with a focus on customer experience
- Comfortable discussing coverage options and identifying opportunities when appropriate
- Positive, team‑oriented attitude with a strong work ethic
- Prior customer service, account management, or insurance experience preferred
- Ability to meet licensing requirements outlined above
