Dental Treatment Coordinator And Scheduler

We have an exciting opportunity for the right candidate. We are a pediatric dental office located in Moon Township, PA. Enthusiasm, computer skills, and the ability to work as a team are required. Ideal candidates should be excellent multitaskers who are proficient with computers, handle multiple phone lines, and are hands-on with our patients and their parents.

This position has a typical schedule of 4-5 days per week (28-38 hours). Summer: M - 7:30 - 2 T - 7:30 - 3 W - 7:30 - 3 H - 7:30 - 3 F - 7:30 - 2 (Only Open on 3rd and 5th Fridays) During School: M - 7:30 - 2 T - 7:30 - 4 W - 10:00 - 4 H - 7:30 - 4 F - 7:30 - 2 (Only Open on 3rd and 5th Fridays)

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

Responsible for the day-to-day activities of the dental front office, including working the phones, maintenance of the records of patients, treatment coordination, including surgery cases, patient management, scheduling of patients, assisting patients with the use of their insurance benefits, collecting payment for services, office correspondence, and recall. Assist the dentist with other tasks as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

Required

  • High school diploma required.
  • Background Check and Child Abuse Clearances
  • 3+ years of experience working in a fast-paced dental or medical front office required.
  • Intermediate skills required for word processing, insurance claims processing, and records management.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Must have working experience with Infants, Children, and/or Teens.
  • Good interpersonal skills to maintain effective rapport with patients, dentists, other staff members, and the community.
  • Excellent multitasking and organizational skills.
  • Excellent computer skills and experience.
  • Experience working as part of a team.

Preferred

  • Experience with Open Dental, Digital Radiography, and Digital Charts is preferred.
  • Candidates with experience working in a pediatric dental or pediatric medical front office are preferred.
