About the role

We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic and dedicated Dental Nurse to join our Public Dental Service (PDS) to provide patient-centred dental support for Dental and Therapy students at Dumfries Dental Centre. Cover at other outlying clinics may be required at times.

• Provide patient-centred dental support for Dental and Therapy students at Dumfries Dental Centre.
• Assist two clinicians simultaneously and support special care patients.
• Participate in the on-call rota for weekend emergency clinics.
• Maintain knowledge of Health & Safety requirements in a clinical environment.
• Find solutions to problems while retaining excellent communication skills.

• NEBDN qualification or SVQ Level 3 in Dental Nursing and registration with GDC as a Dental Nurse.
• Relevant clinical experience as a Dental Nurse.
• Sound knowledge of Health & Safety requirements in a clinical environment.
• Experience supporting special care patients and operating in a fast‑paced team environment.
• Ability to take initiative and work towards common team goals.
