What You'll Do as a Dental Assistant / EFDA

  • Assist the dentist during restorative and other clinical procedures, including provisional crowns and expanded functions if EFDA certified.
  • Prepare patients for treatment by helping them feel comfortable, explaining procedures, and delivering an exceptional patient experience from start to finish.
  • Set up treatment rooms, sterilize instruments, and maintain a clean, organized clinical environment that supports efficient, high-quality care.
  • Capture digital X-rays, intraoral scans, and clinical photographs while accurately charting treatment and maintaining patient records.
  • Support digital dentistry workflows, including Invisalign procedures, digital scanning, and other advanced dental technologies.
  • Place fillings and perform expanded functions as permitted by your EFDA certification, as one of many responsibilities that contribute to exceptional patient care throughout your day.
  • Collaborate with the entire team by stepping in where needed, communicating effectively, and contributing to the welcoming, drama-free culture our patients and team appreciate every day.

Our Ideal Dental Assistant / EFDA

  • Experienced:
    Two years of previous dental assisting experience with restorative procedures is preferred. You provide excellent patient care, are willing to assist wherever needed, and have EFDA certification—a plus, but not required.
  • Patient-Centered:
    You genuinely enjoy building relationships and creating a comfortable, positive experience for every patient.
  • Qualified: CPR certification is preferred. Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) credentials are a plus. Experience with Invisalign and attachment placement is a plus.
  • Tech-Savvy:
    You're comfortable using dental technology, including digital X-rays, digital scanning, intraoral and extraoral photography, and practice management software such as Eagle Soft.
  • Dependable:
    You stay organized, take initiative, and are committed to providing exceptional patient care. Eager to grow and develop in your profession.
  • Collaborative:
    You value teamwork, maintain high professional standards, and enjoy contributing to a supportive, close-knit practice where everyone is committed to excellence.
