Role Description The Certified Dental Assistant is a full-time, on-site role based in Windber, PA. This role includes preparing treatment rooms, organizing dental instruments, and assisting the dentist during examinations and procedures. Daily responsibilities involve supporting oral care treatments, managing patient flow, updating patient records, and ensuring accurate documentation of procedures. The dental assistant is also responsible for sterilizing and maintaining instruments and equipment, following infection control protocols, and restocking supplies.

The role includes educating patients on basic oral care practices, providing chairside support, and collaborating with the clinical and front-office teams to maintain an efficient and welcoming environment.

Qualifications

  • Strong skills in Dental Assisting and foundational knowledge of Dentistry.
  • Experience supporting Dental Care and Oral Care procedures with a focus on patient comfort and safety.
  • Proficiency in Sterilization techniques and adherence to infection control and safety standards.
  • Current certification as a Dental Assistant in accordance with Pennsylvania state requirements; radiology certification preferred.
  • Ability to read, understand, and document patient information accurately in dental records and practice management systems.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact professionally with patients and team members.
  • Strong organizational skills, reliability, and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced clinical setting.
  • Previous experience in a general dentistry or specialty practice is beneficial.
