With over 100 years of combined experience, RGS provides custom product design, engineering, fabrication and installation services. We specialize in ornamental railings and related products including glass, aluminum, stainless steel, and cable; aluminum screens and louvers; aluminum and glass canopies; aluminum and glass trellises;

and custom decorative aluminum structures.

This position is in person and the selected candidate will be required to be in the office full time. Average work hours are from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with overtime as needed. You will be responsible for the oversight and preparation of design documents and drawings during the execution of construction projects. This position will produce architectural drawings including plans, sections, and details along with bills of material. Must know how to read and comprehend architectural and fabrication blueprints.

• Proficiency with AutoCAD required 2+ years
• Knowledge of Bluebeam or similar
• Knowledge of Revit is recommended

• Efficient time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Engineering Technology, or related field
• At least two years of AutoCAD experience is required
• Experience with construction, manufacturing, and/or aluminum extrusions preferred

• Uses computer-aided drafting (CAD) software to create full-scale and detailed designs from an architect’s rough drawings
• Analyze building codes and regulations to determine how they will affect architectural designs
• Draws and details plans based on instructions provided by engineers and architects
• Occasionally visit job sites to gather data and measurements needed to complete designs
• Determines the types of materials needed for the project and calculates the quantity to be ordered
• Ensures work completed is accurate and within project deadlines
