The CAD Drafter creates shop drawings using AutoCAD and manages the submittal process to secure approvals. This position reports to the Drafting Department Manager.
Responsibilities and Duties- Generate comprehensive and meticulously detailed job-specific drawings for new construction projects, renovations, and both commercial and residential properties.
- Coordinate effectively with the client’s representative, architects, and property owners to ensure clarity and alignment on project specifications throughout the submittal process.
- Collaborate with team members to foster a harmonious work environment and contribute to the achievement of shared project and departmental objectives.
- Experience using CAD and the ability to read blueprints and architectural specifications.
- Reliable transportation, able to pass a pre-employment drug test, and the ability to sit for long periods working on a computer.
- In-office position, 8:00 am – 4:30 pm, Monday – Friday. Candidates should live within a reasonable commute.
