The community of communes is composed of 16 rural communes in the center of the Charente-Maritime department, in the retro-littoral zone. For a population of approximately 15,000 inhabitants and a surface area of 264 km2. This territory with a dominant viticulture and agricultural heritage is rich in remarkable identity, rooted in its history and geography.

No descriptive or summary document exists to date, only the PLU and Communal Maps have analyzed the urban evolution but with little documented historical basis. The shared challenge by the communes is to rely on the characteristics of the territory to develop in a future respectful of the living environment and environmental challenges.

Profile sought:

• Architect with a DPLG or DE + HMONP diploma
• Professional training or experience in landscape and urbanism
• Professional experience in an agency or in a structure type CAUE appreciated
• Professional experience necessary with the local authorities
• Good knowledge of administrative authorization procedures
• Knowledge of regulatory urbanism
• Good knowledge of the functioning of public institutions
• Training in tools and practices of consultation/participation

• Ability to animate technical and public meetings
• Sensitivity and interest to the identity of territories and to the architecture of the past and present, to questions of rural urbanism

• Mastery of computer tools on MAC environment
• Discretion sense required by the public service
• Rigorousness and flexibility in the organization of work

Details:

• Position based in Gémozac (17260). Frequent trips on the entire perimeter of the community of communes, requiring a valid B driver's license. Service vehicle provided.
• Occasional trips to CAUE 17 in La Rochelle
• Occasional availability on evenings and weekends
• Possible telework (1 day/week)
• Provision of a furnished house on the commune of Gémozac

Salary between 2,500 and 3,000 euros depending on experience.
