Role Description This is a full‑time, on‑site AutoCAD Operator/Drafter role located in Hughesville, PA. The AutoCAD Operator/Drafter will prepare accurate technical and construction drawings for modular and manufactured homes, following company CAD standards and building specifications. Day‑to‑day tasks include creating and revising floor plans, elevations, and detail drawings; producing shop drawings for use by production teams; and ensuring drawings comply with relevant codes and internal guidelines.

The role collaborates closely with engineering, production, and sales staff to clarify design requirements, resolve technical issues, and incorporate customer changes. The AutoCAD Operator/Drafter is also responsible for maintaining organized drawing files, updating documentation, and communicating clearly with team members to support efficient project workflows.

Qualifications
  • Strong proficiency in technical drawing and general drawing skills, with the ability to produce clear and detailed construction documents.
  • Experience preparing shop drawings for manufacturing or construction environments, ensuring alignment with production requirements.
  • Knowledge of CAD standards and best practices, including layer management, file organization, and consistent drafting conventions.
  • Proficient in Excel, Adobe, Access and PowerPoint.
  • Effective communication skills for coordinating with engineering, production, and other internal stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD or similar CAD software; experience in residential or modular home design is beneficial.
  • Ability to read and interpret architectural and structural plans, specifications, and building codes.
  • Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to manage multiple drawing revisions and deadlines.
  • Relevant technical diploma, certification, or coursework in drafting, CAD, or a related field; prior experience in a manufacturing or construction setting is an advantage.
