Location: West Reading
Pathology - Anatomic and Clinical - Forensic Pathology Join a leading forensic pathology team at Reading Hospital and make a vital impact in forensic medical investigation.
This role offers the opportunity to perform autopsies both house autopsies and coroner cases ensuring justice and public health through meticulous examination and documentation. As a forensic pathologist, you will play a crucial role in high-profile cases, providing essential expertise in a dynamic and challenging environment. This position is perfect for dedicated professionals committed to excellence in forensic pathology and public service.
Required Skills:
Medical degree (MD or DO) with valid licensure in pathology Certification in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology (AP/CP) by the American Board of Pathology Subspecialty training or experience in Forensic Pathology Proven ability to perform forensic autopsies and interpret pathological findings Strong knowledge of medical-legal procedures and death investigative protocols Excellent communication skills for report writing and collaboration with law enforcement and legal teams Ability to work independently and handle high-pressure situations with professionalism Nice to Have
Skills:
Prior experience in a hospital-based forensic pathology setting Familiarity with medico-legal documentation and courtroom testimony Advanced training in forensic anthropology, toxicology, or related fields Proficiency with pathology imaging and reporting software Preferred
Education and Experience:
Medical degree with board certification in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology Minimum of 2 years in a forensic pathology role Experience working with legal authorities and law enforcement agencies Other Requirements:
Availability to cover multiple shifts, including nights, weekends, and potential on-call duties Participation in ongoing case reviews and continuing medical education Ability to travel occasionally for case consultations or training if necessary Certification in Forensic Pathology through the American Board of Pathology highly preferred This is an exceptional opportunity for a committed forensic pathologist to advance their career within a supportive and technologically advanced environment.
