Radiologist
Position Summary
The Radiologist provides diagnostic imaging interpretation and consultative services to support accurate diagnosis and patient care. This role includes the performance and interpretation of imaging studies across multiple modalities and collaboration with referring providers to ensure timely, high-quality, and evidence-based imaging services.
Key Responsibilities- Interpret diagnostic imaging studies, including X-ray, CT, MRI, ultrasound, and nuclear medicine as credentialed
- Provide accurate, timely radiology reports to referring clinicians
- Perform image-guided procedures within scope of practice, as applicable
- Ensure appropriate imaging utilization and adherence to clinical guidelines
- Collaborate with physicians, technologists, and healthcare staff to support patient care
- Participate in multidisciplinary conferences and clinical consultations
- Maintain compliance with quality assurance, safety, and regulatory standards
- Utilize PACS and radiology information systems for documentation and reporting
- Participate in peer review, quality improvement, and patient safety initiatives
- Support teaching, mentoring, or research activities as applicable
- Hospital-based radiology department and/or outpatient imaging centers
- On-site or remote (teleradiology) coverage depending on practice model
- Schedule and call responsibilities vary by coverage needs
- Pediatric and adult patients
- Broad range of diagnostic and interventional imaging needs
- MD or DO from an accredited medical school
- Completion of an accredited Diagnostic Radiology residency program
- Board certified or board eligible in Diagnostic Radiology
- Eligible for unrestricted medical licensure in the practicing state
- Fellowship training in a radiology subspecialty preferred but not required
- Strong diagnostic and analytic skills
- Proficiency across multiple imaging modalities
- Excellent communication and consultative abilities
- Commitment to accuracy, quality, and patient safety
- Ability to work efficiently in a high-volume imaging environment
- Radiology department and imaging center settings
- Collaborative, multidisciplinary care model
- Focus on quality, efficiency, and diagnostic excellence
