Compensationup to $195/hr (based on experience and contract type)

Position SummaryThe Mind Care Psychiatrist will provide inpatient and outpatient support and oversight to the medical division within Mind Care Solutions.
Responsibilities- The psychiatrist will conduct comprehensive psychiatric assessments to diagnose mental health disorders.
- Prescribe and monitor psychotropic medications ensuring that treatment plans are effective and adjusted as needed.
- The psychiatrist will create individualized treatment plans that include medication management, psychotherapy, and other interventions.
- The psychiatrist will maintain up to date medical records, ensuring compliance with facility policies, state regulations, and standards of care.
- Maintain and monitor confidentiality of patients and their files; audit files to determine that all services provided are documented; review status of patients to verify that all treatment and therapeutic programs are completed.
- The psychiatrist will work closely with psychologists, social workers, nurses, and staff to provide integrated and coordinated care.
- Provide immediate psychiatric care in crisis situations, such as suicide attempts or acute psychiatric episodes, and work to prevent incidents through proactive mental health management.
- Endeavor to comply with the requirements of applicable regulations, laws, rules, procedures, policies, standards and/or contract.
- Psychiatrist is required to be licensed in PA
- 2 years of inpatient experience (trauma experience required)
- Board Certified or Eligible (within 1 year of residency completion) in Psychiatry
- Valid and unrestricted DEA in PA
- Must be proficient in using Telemedicine technologies to treat patients remotely
- Open to PMHNP collaboration (preferred)
